Red Stoneware
I am a Brazilian-born Copenhagen-based ceramic artist. I am heavily influenced by the African, Danish and Japanese cultures. I became a full time ceramic artist in 2014, after an enriching contemporary dance career.
My inspiration come from within the making of ceramics itself. The excitement of experimenting with various clay materials and applying different techniques to create objects is as unique as the objects themselves. Those who acquire my pieces take fragments of the world with them and engage with the pieces in their daily life. This aspect of making ceramics enables me to reach different places and people around the world from my home/studio in Østerbro, turning it into a geographical and historical happening. I am in awe of this journey.
